Curtis Pracht
Current owner purchased from the founder in December of 2017. He is a long-running local personal trainer who has trained every type from those just trying to get fit to bodybuilding competitors and local legend Alexander Rossi. He also has a major focus on post- rehab and just loves to get everyone back into the game.
About Us
Our History
Opening in 2004, we were built out of necessity. Starting life as an Anytime Fitness, this was the first 24-hour facility in Grass Valley. In 2009, the name was changed to Ironworks Gym, lost the preppy feel and became the beacon for local true fitness enthusiasts. We were Nevada County's first 24-hour health club. Today we continue to focus on consistency and a willingness to meet the goals of our members. We encourage members to focus on goals that are achievable not beyond their capabilities. We continue to point them in the right direction and give suggestions that will help them reach their goals.
Why come here?
If you have real goals this the gym for you. Whether it is to get past basic rehab, work on your general health or you're pushing hard to go pro in a sport, this is the club with the history and knowledge to get you there. From inception we have focused on getting everyone to there next level. We are the only gym deverse enough to be able to get you through post rehab therapy while being able to build real pro athletes. We were the home to every local that has gone pro. Be it pro football players, world class powerlifters or even Indy car drivers. We built them here. You can always do your own thing in here with no judgement, but if you want a push, you will get it from either the extremely supportive locals in the gym or the owner who seems to get pure joy from breaking people through barriers they never thought possible.
